The Free Funeral Services Society - F.F.S.S - (Yangon) is a welfare organization operating mostly with
the contributions of the well-wishers locally and from abroad. Under the guidance of the founder U Thu
Kha, this organization’s first priority is to
help the bereaved families with the free funeral services, so as to somehow relief the burdens and sorrows during the time of losing their loved-ones.
Setting aside the prejudices and superstition, the devoted members of the organization voluntarily give their services
selflessly to the funeral
services of anyone rich or poor, of any religion, free of charge.
After three years of performing free funeral services to the public, the goodwill members of the Free
Funeral Services Society (F.F.S.S) extends it’s charitable and noble deeds towards caring of the ailing
people. Therefore, the purpose of this organization is not only to render services for the dead but also
to assist the living ones as well.
Thus, the Medical Aid Committee became an affiliate of Free Funeral Services Society (F.F.S.S) with the
aim to help ailing people with monetary aids as well as the expertise treatments in various health problems.
As this Free Funeral Services Society (F.F.S.S) has broaden its charitable tasks and programs to many
sectors, a permanent venue with appropriate offices and its buildings at a chosen site, became an important
issue. Thus, its priority is to accumulate contributions for the construction of buildings, which can be
considered as an immediate objective of the Free Funeral Services Society - F.F.S.S - (Yangon).
