To be born to this life will ultimately and inevitably lead to die in the end. Having been born can brings happiness while leaving this life can bring sorrow s and miseries around you.In time of grief with funeral rituals for the loved-ones , lending helping hands, can somehow retrieve those sorrows to a great extent.

This organization's first and share intension was to unburden some of the anguish of the deceased's family in helping with the funeral services free of charge. It was fund through of by the late Saya Gyi U Thukha, later to become the patron together with some philanthropists , founded this free funeral service society (F.F.S.S - Yangon) in 1-1-2001.

It is a non-profit charity organization , with the objective to assist in the welfare of mankind, whatever the religion, friend of foe, rich or poor. It is operated mostly with the funds donated by generous donors locally and from abroad.Most of the participants are volunteers. Only one third of the members are on the pay-roll comprising of office staff , motor-drivers and mechanics.

Due to generous funding made by the well-wishers, lending helping hands to numerous obsequies relieves those of worries, lamentation, suffering and burning with the flames of sorrow caused by the law of ruination to a greater extent. Nowadays, the numberof people who ask for help for funeral service are the increasing cost of burial has become higher. Our voluntary executive members and staff, however, exert themselves to take up the responsibilities through any difficult or obstancle.

Free Funeral Services Society (Yangon) is a welfare organization operating mostly with the contributions of the well-wishers locally and from abroad. If anybody rich or poor, whatever religion he or she is, friend or enemy, comes to get help for obsequies, the services mentioned below are given free of charge .....

F.F.S.S are lending hands to funeral services, we also like to possibly help the living ones so that "Medical Aid Committee (M.A.C)" has been extensively organized at the First Annual Ceremony with the purpose of giving medical aid to the needly and it has been put into actions until now .....
